Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is one of the biggest educational organisations of the world, running a chain of school not only in India but also in abroad, is dedicated to produce responsible and sensible human beings cater to the needs of the modern world. The Kendriya Vidyalaya sangathan is committed for overall development of a child. Learning should not be only rote practice and it should be interactive inclusive which will help the child not only to think critically but help to take sound decision. Implementing the suggestions of Prof. Yashpal as proposed in National Curriculum Framework 2005, we are trying to unburden a child from the heavy burden of curriculum. In order to materialise the concept of Inclusive Education the KVS provides a quality education in an affordable price. Special provision has been made to train the differently abled children. A certain no of seats have been made free for socially and economically backward children seeking admission in class I under RTE Act 2010. Apart from academic activities the students are exposed to co-curricular activities like Celebration of Grand Parent's Day, Annual Sports Day, Annual Day, Children's Day, Hindi Pakhwada and other National Days Programmes like Community Lunch are introduced to enhance social skills of children The concept of Common Minimum Programme and Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation have been introduced in Primary classes and secondary classers to make learning enjoyable and simple. It was on 9th August 2010 that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sahibganj started functioning in this small town of Jharkhand It was the great generosity of the sponsoring authority that the vidyalaya was immediately provided a newly built spacious building with a lush playground as the temporary accommodation. The response of the local community has been overwhelming. It is the cooperation of the simple but dedicated people of Sahibganj that we are able to work smoothly There are hurdles and shortcomings but a team of dedicated teachers promises a bright future for all the students.

It is just to come closer to the outside world, just to make us little more accessible to the community whose service we are dedicated to, that the Vidyalaya website has been launched. We will look forward to your valuable suggestions for further growth and development of Vidyalaya.
